This is one of our favorite events of the year! Stay tuned as we get organized for our 9th annual Carving for Kids, coming at you this fall! And, in the meantime, be sure to check out all the fun details from last year's carve-o-rama below. You know, just to hold you over.
Come join us for "Carving for Kids" Saturday, October 21th from 10am - 5pm in the Newport Ave. Market front parking lot. We'll be selling cleaned pumpkins for carving, already carved pumpkins of various designs, and even custom carved pumpkins with business logo's for the office or storefront (pre-order info here). 100% of the proceeds will be going directly to the MountainStar Family Relief Nursery. They are a great organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in Central Oregon by providing services to keep children safe, parents successful, and families together.
This will be the 8th year that we've held this event at Newport Market. Just like last year, we'll be hosting hands-on pumpkin carving for kids! Our trained volunteers will help kids design and carve their very own jack-o-lanterns. All pumpkins have been graciously donated by the Smith Rock Ranch out of Terrebonne (known for their massive corn Maize).
This is going to be a great family event, come stop by and say hello. Even if you want to carve your own jack-o-lanterns, we'll have everything you need, plus no mess to clean up! Businesses interested in logo'd pumpkins can pre-order their pumpkins for pick-up on Saturday! Last year we raised $24,600, this year we're hoping to reach the $30,000 mark!
